Guitar Great Gary Hoey Joins Jeremy Fenech for Christmas in July on 103.9 The Fox [VIDEO]

Legendary guitarist Gary Hoey is playing in Lake Orion this weekend, and stopped by The Punch-Out Party with Jeremy Fenech to promote his show, and to have some fun on 103.9 The Fox!

He is working on a new album, collaborating with Lita Ford on a few tracks, and he’s shooting for a late-2018 release. To avoid a real day-job, Hoey spent his youth with a guitar in his hands as much as possible.  He played several Boston clubs and he also taught guitar lessons.  He has a passion for teaching which is why he still offers guitar lessons on his website, GaryHoey.com!

Listen to the radio interview here:

He auditioned to play for Ozzy Osbourne, but the gig ended up going to Zakk Wylde.  But it was Ozzy Osbourne that suggested Gary move to L.A. to pursue his career.  In less than five years he released his first album after signing with Warner Bros. in 1992.

Today, he has a catalog of 19 albums and is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all-time!
