Jeremy on Special Assignment

For more than a week now you may have wondered, “What happened to ‘Fenech on The Fox’?” Don’t worry! I’ll be back before you know it!

In this crazy world of radio, you never know what’s going to happen next. Just look at the Flint market. Pat & AJ were fired from WCRZ, Roy Moore retired from radio, and that was just in the last two months. I don’t want my listeners to fear that something has happened to me. Everything is okay, and I’ll be back on the air on 103.9 The Fox before you know it.

So what am I doing? Our sister station, 93-5 WHMI, is going through a transition period. My owner, Rod Krol, has so much confidence in my ability that he asked me to cover the programming side of WHMI’s daily operations until a new Program Director is hired.

I’ll admit, I was not thrilled at the idea of being off the air on WRSR for an extended period of time. But I am able to maintain a minimal presence on the air via recorded endorsements, contesting, and even a few brief studio appearances.

I am thrilled that my owner trusts me to help get our sister station through the transition, while maintaining things at 103.9 The Fox. It’s not easy to run two different stations in two different counties, but I am making the most of this experience!

I even get to fill in on occasion! In fact, midday host Ellen Morgan will be off tomorrow, as her husband and her always take the day after the Big Game off to spend together and recover. I gladly volunteered to cover for her! So tune in on Monday, February 8th from 10am to 3pm as I play “Livingston County’s Own Classic Hits” on 93-5 WHMI!
